Operating under current management
and ownership since 1977, Mazzei Flying Service teaches
students to fly using one flight training principle: "Does
it work in any airplane or helicopter, and will it
work well in all situations?” For a look at
the school’s unique training technique, please
visit the website and click on “About Mazzei”.
School provided housing is available to all students
training at Mazzei Flying Service. Student housing
consists of furnished two bedroom apartments with
either one or two students per bedroom, or private
one bedroom apartments. The apartment complex is nestled
in the center of an 18-hole public golf course and
conveniently located just to the north of the Fresno
Air Terminal.
Mazzei Flying Service is FAA Approved from Private
through Commercial /Flight Instructor for both airplane
and helicopter. The school operates under Federal
Air Regulations Part 141 which requires: an approved
flight training syllabus for each course, instructor
standardization, supervision and stage checks by the
Chief or Assistant Chief Flight Instructor, and regular
FAA inspections of school facilities, aircraft, simulators
and training devices, as well as student training
records, and instructor records.
Because of the outstanding performance of the school’s
graduates, Mazzei Flying Service is one of very few
FAA Approved Pilot Schools in the U.S. that has Examining
Authority Approval. This special FAA Approval allows
the school to graduate and certificate their students
in certain courses without the added burden and expense
of having to take a practical test with an FAA Designated
Pilot Examiner. In other words, all you need to do
is complete your training and graduate and you will
automatically be issued your certificate or rating
without further testing. This added benefit saves
students both time and money.
Our California location
is one of the big advantages of flight training with
MFS! During both summer and winter, realistic IFR
conditions exist within the state, and there are 14,000'
mountains and both coastal and desert regions in which
to train. Additionally, there are opportunities during
your flight training to fly extended cross-country
to such destinations as Las Vegas, Reno, Lake Tahoe,
San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
“Flight Schedule Pro has organized our entire
dispatch area. It has cut down dramatically on our
scheduling errors as well as allowed us to more effectively
communicate with our customers. We are extremely happy
with the service and can’t imagine scheduling
without it.”
